The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Mental Health Consumers Association hosted a workshop for patients and their families on February 17, 2010 at the ITVET in San Ignacio Town.  Presentations on social security benefits, understanding mental illness, the role of the Ombudsman and the Mental Health Association and the use of compliance medication was discussed. The goal of the workshop was to increase patients’ awareness on the resources available to them in their community.
