The Central Health Region, Ministry of Health informs all those persons who applied for their FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATION in the Belize District that their identification cards are now available at the Environmental Health Office, Central Health Region, Corner St. Joseph and St. Thomas Streets, Belize City.
Food Handlers identification cards are available for all those persons who applied up to February, 2010.
The Ministry of Health takes this opportunity to remind the general public that all persons interested in becoming certified food handlers contact their local Public Health Office, Ministry of Health and follow the guidelines to get certified:
- Have 2 passport size photos,
- Fill out an application to register for training
- Pay a $20 fee
- Obtain a date to sit training
- Undergo training after which the person must take an exam
After passing the examination, certification is processed and an identification card is made available. Identification cards are valid for a period of one year.
