This protocol developed for the Management of Diabetes in Belize is adapted from the manual "Managing Diabetes in Primary Health Care in the Caribbean" as well as from the previous Ministry of Health Diabetes Outpatient Management Protocol.  The need for uniform guidelines for healthcare providers has become critical in Belize as morbidity and mortality related to this disease has shown significant increase over the past decade.  Parallet to this epidemiological transition....
