The Project Coordinator is responsible for the management of the Improving prevention and treatment systems based on primary health care for alcohol use problems in two Caribbean countries - Guyana and Belize project in Belize and contribute to the achievement of the project goals through the timely implementation of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.   Ensure compliance with the procedures and guidelines outlined in the Grant and Sub-Grant Agreements and other relevant documents in respect of implementation of the activities of the Project.
2.   Perform the day-to-day monitoring of project execution.
3.   Monitor and manage the day-to-day activities of the staff of the implementation unit.
4.   Oversee the implementation of all baseline and follow-up surveys including, but not limited to Situational Analysis, GENACIS, KAP, and ER surveys.
5.   Supervise the implementation of activities at each of the research sites.
6.   Lead the preparation of terms of reference and technical specifications for project procurement.
7.   Ensure the implementation of all project activities contained in the project documents.
8.   Identify and facilitate the resolution of technical and/or administrative problems that can affect progress in the implementation of the project, be they internal or external to the MOH.
9.   Oversee the provision of all training activities included in the project.
10.   Conduct field visits to health facilities and communities to observe and participate in project activities.
11.   Redact project progress reports as required by the financing agreement covering the physical and financial advance of the project.
12.   Prepare update reports as required by the Steering Committee.
Qualification:
At least a Masters Degree in Health or Administrative/Managerial Sciences or similar with a minimum of six (6) years experience in management or related field. Specific experience in project management is desired.
